WoW Forever leveling guide: free quest routes, zone by zone

A free quest route for each WoW Forever zone, in two ways to play. Full clear takes every quest of the zone, nearest first, and turns everything in on one trip; Chill follows the story in small loops. Every step has its map spot, and the guide says which quests to skip and when to hearth.

Which zones does the leveling guide cover, by level and faction?

The guide has 66 WoW Forever zones today, 52 of them with a route, sorted by level for each faction below. Contested zones have one page per faction; the new zones without data yet appear in both lists. A zone page without a route still lists the quests we know there and what is missing, so you know where you stand before you go. Levels are the ones the guide uses for each zone.

How does the free WoW Forever leveling guide work?

Each WoW Forever zone gets a page with a numbered quest route: where to pick up each quest, what to do, where to turn it in, when to hearth and when to sell. Every step gives its spot as a map pin command you paste in the chat. The guide also lists the quests it skips and why, and says plainly which quests still come from Classic data.

  • Two modes per zone: Full clear and Chill, one click apart; the page remembers your choice.
  • Numbered steps: accept, do, turn in, hearth, sell, travel. Tick them as you go: your ticks stay in your browser.
  • Map pins: /mappin is a built-in command of the Forever client (1.60.1): it puts a pin on your map, no addon needed. /way works with TomTom.
  • A real map of each zone: our own drawing from the game's data (subzones, flight points, inns, trainers), to zoom and move, full screen too. Never a game image.
  • Honest data: quests that come from the Classic database are marked to confirm until players see them in Forever.

Full clear or Chill: which leveling mode should you pick?

Pick Full clear to level fast: you take every quest of the zone, do them from the nearest to the farthest, chain the follow-ups on the same path and turn everything in on one trip, skipping the quests that cost more time than they give. Pick Chill to follow the story quest by quest, in small loops, with bags that never fill up and no group quest forced on you.

Full clear

Every quest, one trip, max XP

  • Take every quest of the zone for your faction before you leave the hub.
  • Do them from the nearest to the farthest, then come back and turn everything in.
  • Chain the follow-ups along the same path: you never walk back empty-handed.
  • Skip long escorts, rare drops and group or elite quests that give little for their time.
  • Hearth when the route says so: early on, quest items fill your bags fast.

For duos and players who want the most XP per hour.

Chill

The story, at your pace

  • One quest or a small group of quests at a time, in the order of the story.
  • Small loops around each hub, back in town often.
  • Bags never full: no long trip far from a vendor.
  • No group quest forced on you; elite quests are marked so you can decide.

For a first character, or to read Forever's new quests.

How complete is the WoW Forever leveling guide?

Today the guide knows 3,998 quests in 66 zones. 3,998 come from the Classic quest database (cMaNGOS classic-db) and stay marked Classic base, to confirm, until a Forever record confirms them; 0 are confirmed in Forever. Blizzard announced over 1,000 new quests and moved others, so Forever's new zones get their routes from what players record in game.

  • Classic zones: quests from cMaNGOS classic-db (GPL-3.0), matched with the Forever game files where they can be. Blizzard changed the starting zones and moved quests, so a Classic quest may be gone or different in Forever.
  • New regions: Zephras Isle, Riverglades, Mount Hyjal and Shen'dralas are new in Forever. Their routes come only from quests players record in game.
  • Beta limit: the beta stopped at level 30, so nothing above it was played in Forever before launch on November 4, 2026.
  • Dated: each zone page shows the game build of its data and the day it was built.

How do you follow a leveling route in game?

Open the zone page on a second screen or your phone, pick a mode, and copy each step's map pin into the chat: /mappin with the map number and the coordinates is a built-in command of WoW Forever that puts a pin on your map and opens it, no addon needed. Tick each step when it is done; the page keeps your ticks in this browser.

  • /mappin 1429 48.2 42.0 puts a pin at 48.2, 42.0 on the Elwynn Forest map (1429 is that map's number in the game).
  • With TomTom, switch the command to /way: /way #1429 48.2 42.0.
  • Steps on another map (a city, the next zone) carry that map's number: the pin lands on the right map.

Is this WoW Forever leveling guide really free?

Yes. Every route, every zone and both modes are free to read, with no account, no ads and no paid version. Some leveling guides for Forever are sold: RestedXP sells its Forever guides on its own shop, and Zygor announced its Forever guides with a paid Elite subscription. Ours stays free: it is built from open data and from what players share.

Leveling guide: frequently asked questions

Is the WoW Forever leveling guide free?

Yes. Every zone, every route and both modes are free, with no account, no ads and no paid version.

What is the difference between Full clear and Chill?

Full clear takes every quest of a zone, nearest first, and turns them all in on one trip, skipping the slow ones. Chill follows the story quest by quest in small loops, with bags that never fill up.

Where do the quests in the guide come from?

Classic zones start from the open cMaNGOS classic-db quest database, marked Classic base until a Forever record confirms each quest. Forever's new quests come from what players record in game.

Does the guide cover Zephras Isle, Riverglades and Mount Hyjal?

Their pages show what we know, but their routes need players' quest records: these regions are new in Forever and no open database has their quests. The beta stopped at level 30, below Riverglades and Mount Hyjal.

How do I use the coordinates in game?

Copy the step's command and paste it in the chat. /mappin followed by the map number and the coordinates is built into the WoW Forever client and puts a pin on your map. With TomTom, use /way instead.

Which quests does the guide skip?

Quests that give little for their time: long escorts, items that drop rarely, and quests that need a group or kill elites. Each zone page lists them with the reason.

When should I use my hearthstone while leveling?

When your bags are full and a vendor is far, or when the next quests start in town. Each route numbers these stops like the other steps.
