Where these quests come from
The quests come from cMaNGOS classic-db, an open database of Classic, placed on Forever's own zone maps. Forever changed some zones, so a quest stays “to confirm” until players' records from the game confirm it.
- Titles, levels, givers, objectives, rewards and chains come from cMaNGOS classic-db (GPL-3.0). No story text is copied: only names, numbers and places.
- Places are the Classic spawn points of each NPC, drawn on our maps of Forever's zones: on a border, the quest's own zone wins.
- Experience is the full value at the quest's level (Classic): a player 6 or more levels above gets less.
- Search engines get the quests of our leveling guide's zones whose NPC is placed and that have objectives or rewards, and any quest players saw on Forever; the other quests keep their page for players, and a copy for another race or class points to the main one.
Questions about WoW Forever quests
Are these quests the same on WoW Forever?
Mostly, but not all: Forever keeps Classic's quests and changes some zones (new quests in the starting zones and in some revamped zones, levels raised in a few places). Each page says “Classic data, to confirm” until players' records from the game confirm it.
Why are quest names in English on the French site?
The Forever client ships no French quest names yet, and the Classic database has none either. The French names will come from players' records once they share them from a French client.
How do I find where a quest starts?
Each quest page shows the giver with its coordinates on our map of the zone, the objectives' areas and where to turn it in. Type /way or /mappin with the coordinates to mark it in game.
