What WoW Forever's monsters drop
What each monster of WoW Forever drops, as a percentage, measured corpse by corpse by the players. The game holds no loot tables and Blizzard publishes no drop rates: these come from the corpses players loot, shared with the site.
No loot shared yet: sharing loot with the site is not open to players yet, and this page fills in once it is.
Every creature looted so far
Pick a creature to see everything found on its corpses, with the rate of each item, the coin it carries and where players looted it. The list grows with every corpse shared: a creature appears after its first looted corpse, and its rates settle as more players loot it. Search by name or zone.
No corpse shared yet
Sharing loot with the site is not open to players yet: the first rates appear here once it is, measured on real corpses, never estimated.
How players fill these tables
Every rate here comes from a real corpse. What each looted corpse holds is recorded in game and shared with the site, and the database counts each corpse once, even when several players of a group loot it, and keeps the beta's corpses apart from the live game's.
- Each corpse a player opens is recorded in game: the creature, the zone and the spot on its map, and what the corpse held.
- The corpses are shared with the site, where each one counts once.
- Skinning, pick pocketing, herbalism and mining are counted apart, never mixed with the corpse loot.
How the rates are computed
A rate is the number of corpses that held the item divided by the number of corpses looted. The game never lets anyone open an empty corpse, so the monsters killed alone that had nothing are also noted, apart. The range under a rate says where the true rate lies, 95 times out of 100, given the corpses counted so far.
- One corpse counts once: the database keeps the creature's spawn ID, so a corpse looted by five players of a group is one corpse.
- Quest items only show for players who have the quest: their rate is lower here than for you when you have it.
- Skinning, pick pocketing, herbalism, mining and salvage have their own tables, never mixed with the corpse loot.
- Beta corpses stay apart from the live game: a creature shows its live rates as soon as it has some.
- What is sent: the creature, the time, the zone and the spot on its map, the creature's level, what the corpse held. Never your name, your realm or your account.
Questions about monster loot
Where do these WoW Forever drop rates come from?
From the players. What each looted corpse holds is recorded in game and shared with the site, and the database computes each item's rate over every corpse counted. The game holds no loot tables and Blizzard publishes no drop rates.
Are Classic drop rates valid for WoW Forever?
Not always. Forever adds creatures and items, Zephras Isle for one, and Blizzard can change any table. Each rate here is measured on Forever itself, and the beta corpses are kept apart from the live game.
Are corpses looted in combat and in a group counted?
Yes. The loot window is recorded in and out of combat. In a group, a corpse looted by several players counts once. Empty corpses are only noted when you fought alone, when nobody else could have looted them.
Is anything personal sent?
No. For each corpse: the creature, the time, the zone and the spot on its map, the creature's level and what the corpse held. Never your character, your realm or your account.
