Your first Legacy points, the fastest way

On WoW Forever, a crafting profession brings your first Legacy point sooner than level 25: one at 150 skill gives a point, and the beta teaches Journeyman at level 10. Pick your class and two professions: the tool orders your points up to level 60, shows what each profession costs and where your first points can go.

Your route to the first Legacy points

Choose your class and two crafting professions (the two cheapest to 150 are picked for you). Each line gives a point for your whole account; tick the box to add alts for the four other professions.

What is the fastest way to your first Legacy point?

Blizzard gives three ways to earn the first Legacy point: reach level 25, reach 150 in a non-gathering profession, or explore the whole world map. The profession is the fastest: on the beta, Journeyman, which raises the cap to 150, is taught at level 10 with 50 skill. Two crafting professions at 150 make two points from level 10, before your first dungeon.

How much does each profession cost up to 150?

At the beta auction house prices of October 15, 2026, enchanting to 150 costs about 2g 26s 77c of materials and 181 crafts on our cheapest path, and alchemy about 2g 31s 43c. The table gives the six crafting professions that count for Legacy at 150, 225 and 300, with the level each rank asked for on the beta. Gathering your own materials costs time instead of gold.

Questions about the first Legacy points

Can you get a Legacy point before level 25 in WoW Forever?

Yes. Blizzard gives three ways to earn the first point: level 25, a non-gathering profession at 150, or the whole world map explored. On the beta, Journeyman, which raises a profession to 150, is taught at level 10 with 50 skill, according to Icy Veins: a crafting profession at 150 gives a point from level 10.

Which professions give Legacy points?

The six crafting professions: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking and Tailoring, at 150, 225 and 300 skill. Gathering professions such as Herbalism, Mining and Skinning don't count, and neither do Cooking, First Aid or Fishing.

How many Legacy points can you have at level 25?

Up to 6 with one character, with the beta thresholds: two crafting professions at 150 from level 10, both at 225 from level 20, Novice Spelunker for the 6 dungeons of levels 15 to 25, and your class challenge at level 25. Level 10 alts can add 4 more with the four other professions at 150.

Do Legacy points count for all my characters?

Yes. Points belong to your Battle.net account, except in Hardcore, and each character spends its own in its perk trees, up to 16 at launch. A point earned by a level 10 alt also counts for your main character.

Where should you put your first Legacy point?

In the first column of one of the three trees, the only one open at first: Working Overtime and Bountiful Harvest (Professions), Well Rested and Thrill of Adventure (Adventure), Gourmand, The Quick and the Dead and Reinforce (Resourcefulness). If you still level professions, Working Overtime adds 4% chance per rank to gain a skill point.

When does the Talented perk open?

Talented gives talent points before level 10, as early as level 5. In the beta tables it opens once Well Rested, in the Adventure tree, is at its max rank of 5: your sixth point in that tree.

Does Talented give 5 extra talent points at level 60?

No. Talented gives the same points earlier, not extra ones: at best one point per level from level 5 instead of level 10, but the game keeps the cap of 51 talent points. You are up to 5 points ahead while leveling and reach 51 at level 55, then gain no more. At level 60, you have 51 points with or without the perk.

Where do these numbers come from?

The ways to the first point, account-wide points and the 16 per character come from Blizzard's Legacy article. The level of each profession rank was reported on the beta by Icy Veins. Costs come from our cheapest leveling path, at the beta auction house prices of October 15, 2026 (1 player, test realm ClassicBetaPvE2, Alliance); perks and challenges from the beta game tables (build 1.60.1.70532).

  • Costs count materials only: trainer fees and the price of the ranks are not included.
  • The crafts of the step that crosses 150, 225 or 300 are counted in proportion: an estimate.
  • Where our path stops before a cap, the last recipes are Classic recipes to find or new ones whose source is not known yet.
  • The beta may change before launch: thresholds, prices and perks will be checked again.
