How do you find an item by name?
Type part of its name in the site search: it looks through every listed item in English and in French, ignores accents and capitals, and also finds quests, NPCs, recipes and guides. Press / or Ctrl+K on any page to open it, or use the box below. Both names work in both languages, so an English name also finds the item on a French page.
Which items does the database list?
7,828 items in 59 categories: 3,556 pieces of armor and weapons, 844 consumables, 494 crafting materials, 861 recipes and class books, 137 bags and ammo items, 1,891 quest items and 45 others. Each category has its own pages of up to 150 items, with the name in its quality color, the item level and the required level, and each name opens the item's page.

How do you read an item page?
An item page opens on the card the game shows in a tooltip, then answers where to get the item and what it is used for. The card comes from the Forever client's files when they hold a record of the item. The sources come from Classic data, marked to confirm on Forever, and players' loot records on Forever come first as soon as they exist.
- The card
- Stats, armor, damage and effects, computed from the client's tables the way the game does. When the files hold no record of an item (9,634 pages: the server sends it in game), the card shows Classic Era's values and says so.
- Changed on Forever
- 1,898 pieces of gear moved since Classic Era (item level, quality, slot, speed or stat types): the page says so and keeps the Classic Era card folded under Forever's.
- How to get it
- Creatures with their drop chance, world drops, vendors, quests, chests, gathering nodes, skinning, fishing and recipes. This is Classic data from cMaNGOS classic-db, to confirm on Forever.
- Used for
- The recipes and quests that need the item, the recipe it teaches and what it contains.
- The price
- Community auction house prices when players share a scan: market price, lowest price, quantity and up to 90 days of history. No scan, no price: the site never estimates one.
Questions about the item database
Is there an item database for WoW Forever?
Yes, this one: 26,567 item pages built from the Forever client's tables (build 1.60.1.70753) and Classic data, 7,828 of them listed by category. It is free, needs no account, and item names are in English and in French.
Are the item stats confirmed for WoW Forever?
The cards built from Forever's own files show what client 1.60.1.70753 holds, and a new client can change them. 9,634 item pages have no record in those files, so their card shows Classic Era's values and says so: check those in game.
Where does the drop and source data come from?
From cMaNGOS classic-db, an open database of Classic, so each source is marked Classic data, to confirm on Forever: Blizzard can change any drop, vendor or quest. As soon as players' loot records exist for an item, they come first on its page, with the rate measured on Forever.
Why is an item missing from the category lists?
The lists show items with content of their own: used or made by a recipe, or with a Forever card and a place to get them, for gear from uncommon up, consumables, bags, ammo, recipes, materials and the quest items a quest asks for. Other items keep their page and join the lists once players' records back them: a live price shared by two players, or five finds on one creature or node.
How are the items of a category sorted?
By item level, highest first, then by required level. Quest items and miscellaneous items, most of which have no meaningful level, are sorted by name. Each page holds up to 150 items.
What does the color of an item's name mean?
It is the game's item quality: grey for poor, white for common, green for uncommon, blue for rare, purple for epic and orange for legendary. The lists use the same colors as the game's tooltips.
Can I see what an item sells for on the auction house?
Yes, when it appears in a scan players share: its page shows the market price, the lowest price and the quantity on each auction house, with up to 90 days of history. Soulbound items and quest items never reach the auction house, and their page says so.
Are item names available in French?
Yes. Item names, slots and the labels of the cards come from the French client, so the French pages use the names you see in game. Creature and quest names stay in English: the Forever client ships no French ones.
