What changes for the druid in WoW Forever?

The druid in WoW Forever can drink potions and use most consumables in forms, and weapon enchants work there too. Tiger's Fury is replaced by Shifting Power, bears get Primal Bite instead of Mangle and Lacerate at 42, and Thick Hide makes Defense gear count. Feral gets Berserk and Restoration gets Wild Growth at 31 points, and Revive arrives at level 12.

  • Shapeshifting: potions and most consumables, Rage potions and Thistle Tea included, work without leaving form, and Mana Potions were added in forms on October 8.
  • Weapon enchants and procs work in forms, form auto-attacks use your equipped weapon's damage per second, and most doors and objects can be used in form.
  • Shifting Power (cat, 16 points) replaces Tiger's Fury and turns 55% of base mana into 40 Energy on a 16-second cooldown, a deliberate replacement for powershifting.
  • Primal Bite (bear, 16 points) replaces Mangle with very high threat, and Lacerate (level 42) is a 15-second bleed that stacks 5 times.
  • Thick Hide is redesigned: armor scales with Defense skill, so druid tanks gain from Defense gear like other tanks.
  • Berserk (Feral, 31 points): 15 seconds every 3 minutes, Fear immunity, and Primal Bite with no cooldown hitting 3 targets.
  • Furor is reworked: Energy regenerates outside Cat Form but is lost on entering Bear Form, explicitly to stop bear-weaving.
  • Wild Growth (Restoration, 31 points) heals the target's whole party, pets included, and Swiftmend (16 points) no longer consumes the heal over time.
  • Revive (level 12) is an out-of-combat resurrection, and Omen of Clarity is baseline at level 20.

Questions about the Druid in WoW Forever

Can druids use potions in forms in WoW Forever?

Yes. Potions and most consumables work without leaving form, Rage potions and Thistle Tea included, and Mana Potions were added in forms on the October 8 beta build.

Do bear druids benefit from Defense gear in WoW Forever?

Yes. Thick Hide was redesigned so that druid tanks gain from Defense skill items, like other tank classes.

Is powershifting still possible in WoW Forever?

Blizzard replaced it on purpose with Shifting Power, a 16-point cat talent that turns mana into 40 Energy, and reworked Furor so Energy is lost on entering Bear Form.
