What changes for the warlock in WoW Forever?
The warlock in WoW Forever turns Curse of Agony and Curse of Doom into Banes, one per warlock on each target, makes Firestone and Spellstone weapon imbues and lets pets scale from its own stats. New talents include Bane of Havoc at 21 points and Wrack, Demonic Pact and Incinerate at 31, the Voidwalker gains threat from Demonic Brand, and trolls can now be warlocks.
- Banes: Curse of Agony and Curse of Doom become Bane of Agony and Bane of Doom, with one Bane per warlock on each target.
- Curses: Curse of the Elements now covers all magic damage, and Curse of Shadows is removed.
- Firestone and Spellstone become weapon imbues that stack with wizard oil: Fire damage and crit for the Firestone, Shadow damage and spell haste for the Spellstone.
- Pets scale from your stats, and on the beta your current pet is stunned while you summon a new one (October 8 notes).
- Life Tap scales with Spirit, and Drain Soul has a growing chance to give a soul shard, until it is guaranteed.
- Wrack (Affliction, 31 points): a channeled drain that adds 10% to your other Shadow damage over time for 6 seconds, and Pandemic raises the critical damage of damage over time by up to 100%.
- Demonic Sacrifice (Demonology, 11 points) lasts 2 hours, and Demonic Pact (31 points) keeps it when you summon another demon.
- Demonic Brand gives high threat on Shadow damage, but only tanking pets such as the Voidwalker gain the extra threat.
- Bane of Havoc (Destruction, 21 points) copies 15% of the damage you deal to other targets onto the Bane target for 5 minutes, and Incinerate (31 points) is a 2.5-second cast at 30 yards.
- Soul Harvest, formerly Improved Drain Soul, gives 50 or 100% more mana regeneration on the beta (October 1 notes).
